My Rower is Making Noises
If your rower is making any noises, please follow the troubleshooting steps below to determine the source of the sounds, and recommended fixes.
- First, visually review the seat/rails for any scuff marks or scratches. If any are noted, please send pictures to email@example.com for further assistance. If not, proceed with the next steps.
- Roll the seat back and forth along the rails with your feet planted on the ground on the outside of the rails, and without pulling the rower handle. If you do hear the sounds, please send a video of the sounds to firstname.lastname@example.org, otherwise continue to Step 3.
- Loosen the top deck JCB's, the footboard rail bolts, the forward riser bolts, and all four tie rods approximately two (2) turns. The bolts do not need to be removed from the rower. Then, re-tighten the bolts in the following order: tie rods, top deck JCB's, forward riser bolts, and lastly, footboard rail bolts.
Note: You may hear a creaking sound when loosening the tie rods. This is natural due to natural shifting of the wood over time.

- Use the rower as if you were completing a normal workout, and listen for the sounds. If the sounds are still present, please send a video to email@example.com.
When sending the video, please provide your rower’s serial number in the email to expedite the troubleshooting process.
